Voyages
of Discovery on the Kimberley Coast
| Towering
cliffs of russet hued sandstone, thundering waterfalls
plunging sheer into deep dark pools, broad placid rivers
flowing from deep in the high plateau country. Hundreds
of islands, green and wooded or steep and craggy; clean
broad beaches on green fringed bays, racing currents and
whirlpools fed by thirty-foot tides, cool shade in the
remnants of a tropical rainforest. Secluded bathing pools
fed by tinkling freshwater streams. primeval crocodiles
slithering off mud banks; |
a
solitary sea eagle commanding the skies; dolphins
sporting playfully; perhaps a pod of migrating whales; a
rare dugong; or that unique bird sighting. This is the
Kimberley coast unchanged over centuries; unsullied by
the trappings of civilisation. No roads, no hotels, no
towns. Now you can join the privileged few who have
enjoyed the Kimberley experience, in comfort and safety
yet without leaving so much as wheel tracks or a campsite
scar. |
